We are pleased to invite you to the October meeting of the InterAgency Council of Glen Cove, where we will host a special presentation from the Glen Cove Rotary Club. Gabor will lead a discussion on Rotary, focusing on its mission and community impact. Following this, Jacki Yonick, Treasurer for the Glen Cove Rotary Club and Rotary International D7255 Past District Governor (2020-2021), will share exciting updates, including:
-
Glen Cove Rotary’s 100-Year Anniversary Celebration!
Join us in recognizing a century of service and impact in our community.
-
Dress A Child Event
In alignment with the Rotary motto, Service Above Self, our goal is to provide 100 youth with brand-new winter coats, hats, and gloves. This initiative will be executed in three ways:
-
Shopping Party for K-2nd graders.
-
Shopping Spree for 3rd-5th graders.
-
Wrap and Deliver for 6th-12th graders.
Our aim is to ensure all kids are dressed warmly by Thanksgiving (with flexibility toward Halloween).
-
Participation Opportunity
Interested organizations can scan a QR code at the meeting to complete a form, providing details such as the organization’s name, contact person, and the number of children they can support. Please note: We do NOT do a coat drive; all items are brand new.
We look forward to your attendance and engagement in this impactful discussion and initiative.
This meeting is open to all IAC members, prospective members, and community stakeholders interested in supporting Glen Cove’s human services network (Registration requested, Limited Seating). Coffee and danishes will be provided.
